Job Description:

Cook position at The Barcelona EDITION, focused on food preparation, quality assurance, and guest satisfaction in a luxury hospitality setting.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare special meals or substitute items
regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
communicate assistance during busy periods
ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared
inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials
uphold food quality standards
develop and maintain positive working relationships
follow company policies and procedures
report maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe work conditions
address guests’ service needs.

Requirements:

Prepare special meals or substitute items
regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
maintain food logs
monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared
communicate assistance during busy periods
inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials
prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
prepare cold foods
follow company safety and security policies and procedures
anticipate and address guests’ service needs
stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
education in Technical, Trade, or Vocational School
at least 3 years of related work experience.
