Job Responsibility:

  • Order food supplies as needed
  • prepare and cook meals according to nutritional standards
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
  • ensure equipment and supplies are adequately stocked and functioning
  • provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff
  • adhere to health and safety regulations
  • work collaboratively with dining services manager and team

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months prior experience in a food service department preferred
  • supervisory experience desirable
  • obtain food handlers permit as required by state regulations
  • previous experience working with the elderly
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • demonstrate teamwork and individual accountability
  • meet health and background check requirements
  • ability to work holidays and weekends
  • successfully complete training as required by state regulations
  • compassion and desire to work with the elderly
  • effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, and vendors
  • able to work responsibly both individually and as part of a team
  • meet all health requirements and pass background checks
