A Cook is responsible for actively participating in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with the standards outlined in the Culinary Division Master Job Description Manual. This role requires precision, efficiency, and a commitment to excellence in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Job Responsibility:
Works with the entire Culinary Team on future planning, daily ordering, and activities that directly affect guest satisfaction
Focuses on taste and consistency when producing food or pastry for our guests and always strives for perfection
Provide courteous and professional service at all times
Ensure the working area is kept clean at all times
Ensure a complete understanding of and adherence to the policies within the Employee Handbook
Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
Attend training sessions as requested to develop the necessary skills to perform duties effectively
Ensure that all equipment is properly functioning within the department and report any malfunctions to your supervisor promptly
Maintain a sound knowledge of the company's facilities and related services
Must always maintain workstations and refrigeration in accordance with the Culinary Division Master Job Description Manual
Must uphold high sanitation standards in all food- or pastry-related outlets as stated in the Culinary Division Master Job Description Manual
Requirements:
Formal training from culinary arts program or has worked as an experienced Cook
2-4 years of culinary experience
Possess great communication skills
A sincere willingness to provide service to guests and peers
Good organizational skills
Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions
High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team
A flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays
Possess a legal ability to work in The Bahamas without sponsorship
