The Cook (Pool / Family Entertainment Center Kitchen) is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving a variety of menu items in the Dellshire Resort’s poolside and family entertainment center outlets. This role ensures that all food is prepared to the resort’s quality standards, served in a timely manner, and presented with care. The Cook supports a fast-paced, guest-facing kitchen environment, maintaining consistency, safety, and cleanliness while contributing to a fun and energetic atmosphere for guests enjoying our family and recreation areas.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and cook food items such as sandwiches, burgers, flatbreads, snacks, and other menu offerings according to Dellshire Resort recipes and standards
Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and speed in all food orders to support high guest volume
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen areas, and equipment
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, including labeling, dating, and proper storage of ingredients
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies prior to opening and maintain throughout the shift
Communicate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations
Handle guest requests and special orders with accuracy and professionalism
Support daily prep, restocking, and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and disposing of waste properly
Monitor portion sizes, cooking times, and presentation quality to maintain brand consistency
Assist with inventory rotation and help report shortages or equipment issues
Uphold Dellshire Resort’s standards for safety, guest satisfaction, and teamwork
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
culinary training or certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of cooking experience in a fast-paced or high-volume kitchen
resort, pool, or amusement-style operation preferred
Knowledge of grill, fryer, and short-order cooking techniques
Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality during peak guest periods
Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Reliable, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and warm-weather seasons
Nice to have:
