Job Responsibility:
Plans, prepares, and cooks food items under the guidance of his supervisors to ensure the highest quality service and experience for customers
Prepare food items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards
complete mis en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service
Keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently
Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean all kitchen equipment and utensils
They ensure proper food handling and food sanitation procedures
Following food storage procedures
FIFO
Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers
Assist in receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality
To maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments
Wear hair restraint/hat, gloves, apron, jacket and closed-toed shoes while on duty
To comply with local legislation as required
Effectively communicate with management, line staff, and other departments
Communicate with the Sous Chefs and Chef regarding menu items, problem situations or shortages
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by his supervisors and Chef
The ability to be certified in Food service sanitation
Always conduct oneself professionally to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels
Requirements:
1 to 2 years of experience in similar kitchen/hotel operation or culinary school
Must be willing to work flexible schedule to accomplish all major responsibilities (may include some evenings, weekends and holidays)
Candidates must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
