Camp Minikani is currently hiring full-time seasonal cooks for the upcoming summer. Our mission and core values are brought to life by our culture. Job Responsibility:

  • Assist the Food Service Manager in planning, preparation, serving, and clean-up of daily meals for campers and staff
  • in the absence of the Food Service Manager, supervise the kitchen staff and kitchen operations
  • directly oversees the inventory of supplies and food and reports any needed items to the Food Service Manager for re-order
  • assist the Food Service Manager in working and preparing the kitchen staff schedule
  • ensure that all food service preparation, storage, and serving areas are in an orderly and sanitary condition, while adhering to all local state and federal laws/regulations
  • identify, minimize, and eliminate, where possible, any risks that could cause accidents
  • interpret safety and health standards to food service staff
  • perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years old
  • prior experience with youth and/or a food service setting is preferred
  • previous kitchen experience strongly preferred
  • Safe Serve Certification strongly preferred
  • preferred applicants will be available for the duration of summer camp, June 14-August 15
