This full-time role involves applying knowledge and experience in food production to ensure proper, timely, and safe preparation and service of meals in accordance with established recipes and dietary guidelines. A Cook at Sunrise is instrumental in managing food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator, ensuring all meals meet the nutritional and quality expectations of the residents. They utilize production sheets to record food production quantities and temperature controls accurately, adhere strictly to food safety standards including the proper stocking, rotating, dating, and storage of products. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, performing authorized cleaning duties, and ensuring cooking equipment is safe and operational. Beyond kitchen responsibilities, the Cook may assist with dining services such as dishwashing, light janitorial tasks, and service support in dining areas.
