Job Description:

This is an ongoing position at a brand new 104-place early learning and childcare centre. Role: Responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious lunches and morning and afternoon tea for up to 104 children per day, managing a generous budget, and maintaining a high standard of hygiene in a first-class kitchen.

Job Responsibility:

  • Menu Planning & Preparation: Creating and preparing varied, nutritious meals and snacks
  • Dietary Compliance: Ensuring all food meets specific dietary needs and cultural requirements
  • Inventory & Budget: Timely ordering, stock management, and adhering to the budget for all food supplies
  • Proactively plan, reflect, and modify menus seasonally as required
  • Maintain an updated Food Safety Program to ensure continuous compliance

Requirements:

  • Food Safety Certification: Must hold a Certificate in Food Handling and a Food Safety Supervisor certificate
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC): Must hold a current and valid Employee WWCC
  • Police Checks: Willingness to consent to a Police Check
  • First Aid Training: Current First Aid, anaphylaxis, and asthma qualifications, or be willing to obtain them immediately upon employment
