This is an ongoing position at a brand new 104-place early learning and childcare centre. Role: Responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious lunches and morning and afternoon tea for up to 104 children per day, managing a generous budget, and maintaining a high standard of hygiene in a first-class kitchen.
Job Responsibility:
Menu Planning & Preparation: Creating and preparing varied, nutritious meals and snacks
Dietary Compliance: Ensuring all food meets specific dietary needs and cultural requirements
Inventory & Budget: Timely ordering, stock management, and adhering to the budget for all food supplies
Proactively plan, reflect, and modify menus seasonally as required
Maintain an updated Food Safety Program to ensure continuous compliance
Requirements:
Food Safety Certification: Must hold a Certificate in Food Handling and a Food Safety Supervisor certificate
Working with Children Check (WWCC): Must hold a current and valid Employee WWCC
Police Checks: Willingness to consent to a Police Check
First Aid Training: Current First Aid, anaphylaxis, and asthma qualifications, or be willing to obtain them immediately upon employment
