Aramark Canada is currently seeking a Cook 2 to join the Dalhousie Food Services team! Reporting to the Supervisor, the Cook 2 is responsible for preparing, cooking and serving menu and made to order items to residence students.
Job Responsibility:
Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers
Preps, cooks and serves made to order items on the grill
Uses grille, fryers, and ovens
Ability to prepare cooked fruit
Ability to prepare egg based dishes including process ingredients and finishing
Process cheese, dairy and plant-based dairy alternative ingredients
Prepares pastas and noodles
Make decision on selecting, cooking, and finishing poultry dishes
Prepare Seafood
Prepares snacks and other finger foods
Prepares batter based products
Maintains continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area
Assists with culinary auditing, temperature checking of food items within kitchen, stations, fridge’s and freezers
Ensure adherence to Aramark’s Policies and Procedures
May perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Ability to execute all duties under Food Service Worker Classification
1-2 years Culinary experience required
Valid WHMIS, Food Safe Advanced Certification, First Aid Certification considered an asset
Must be able to work effectively and efficiently, supervised and unsupervised
Must be able to lift, push, pull min. 35 lbs
