Job Description:

The Cook at Brinnington Hall will help to plan and prepare a variety of meals which are appealing, nutritious and centred around our residents’ preferences, requests and dietary requirements. You will work with the Kitchen Manager to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and share our ethos of creating an ambient dining experience at every mealtime helping to create a great place to live for our residents.

Job Responsibility:

  • Help to plan and prepare a variety of meals which are appealing, nutritious and centred around residents’ preferences, requests and dietary requirements
  • Work with the Kitchen Manager to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen
  • Share the ethos of creating an ambient dining experience at every mealtime helping to create a great place to live for residents

Requirements:

  • Ability to plan and prepare a variety of meals which are appealing, nutritious and centred around residents’ preferences, requests and dietary requirements
  • Ability to work with the Kitchen Manager to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen
  • Ability to recognise signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are any concerns
  • Required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas
  • Ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken
