Job Description

The Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for a Cook to join our team. The Cook is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Cook prepares breakfast, lunch an/or dinner per guest orders from all outlets in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare food items of consistent quality according to guest orders following recipe, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards
  • Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including, food processor, mixer, oven
  • Maintain a clean and efficient station
  • Strong knowledge of health codes and full understanding of all knife cuts
  • Label and date all food containers and rotates as per policies
  • Determines necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up
  • Returns all food items not used to designated storage areas
  • Manage and prioritize tasks by shift

Requirements

  • Excellents teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi task are required
  • Operate, maintain and properly clean all pastry shop equipment
  • Trade apprenticeship or other form of register training in the culinary discipline
  • Minimum two years of culinary experience in a luxury restaurant or similar
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen tools and culinary operations
  • Continuous standing for up to 8 hrs per shift and the ability to lift up to 30Kg
  • Flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English and Spanish
  • Must have the legal right to work in Spain
