An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cook to join our Dovehaven Team. This role will require you to work 19 hours per week on a rota basis at our Manchester House Care home on Albert Road, Southport, PR9 9LN. The working hours will be 2 days a week - 8am - 6pm on a rota basis with alternate weekend availability required! Manchester House is a Nursing and residential care home catering for up to 67 residents. The home specialises in dementia care, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure nutritious and beautifully presented meals are provided for residents
Prepare meals for residents
Work with Apetito meal system

Requirements:

Caring nature and positive attitude
Desire to deliver best possible standards
Energetic, friendly team player
Good organisation and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure effectively
Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy
Previous Care home or hotel experience
Ability to prepare meals for 50 or more residents
Dependable and flexible
Desirable: Catering (C&G) or NVQ 3 qualification
Desirable: Food Hygiene and First Aid qualifications
