Job Description:

Bank Cook role within a care home catering team, focusing on nutrition as an important element of the care package. The home is a purpose-built nursing care home for 62 people, conveniently located close to Chesham town centre.

Job Responsibility:

Create delicious meals for residents
Be actively involved in the nutritional needs of residents
Ensure a high-quality dining experience is received by everyone
Get to know residents and their families to accommodate personal preferences
Some weekend work required

Requirements:

Previous experience of working in a professional kitchen
Experience catering for specialist diets
Experience providing meals for large groups of people
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
Ideally working towards a Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking or equivalent (not essential)
Confident in engaging with elderly residents to understand their individual needs
Enjoy being part of a wider team
