Job Description:

Joining Norse Group provides a fulfilling role as part of a team supplying locally sourced, nutritious and healthy meals to residents within Care Homes. The role involves becoming an integral part of residents' home through daily interaction, not just at mealtimes. The aim is to ensure the wonderful world of food is available to all, including those with eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties.

Job Responsibility:

Preparing and cooking food
Supervising the onsite catering team
Ensuring delivery of the catering service in the absence of the Cook Manager
Daily interaction with residents
Ensuring the social aspect of dining and nutritious content of meals
Focusing on food while supported by central teams for management tasks

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment
Organised approach
Good understanding of the food industry
Ideally knowledge of textured modified diets (IDDSI)
Experience working to a set budget
Passion for delivering fantastic customer service
Strong communication skills
Adaptable approach to work
Passionate about supporting others
