The Cook III is an entry-level cook that will be responsible for a variety of cooking methods and cuisines and will focus on food prep, and basic cooking techniques. This position may work in any of our restaurants, banquets, social venues or pastry kitchen.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare Food in accordance with standard recipes
Assist receiving and putting away food requisitions checking for food products quality and amount
Responsible for the care and cleanliness of kitchen equipment
Inspect all refrigeration and dry storage for proper handling and rotation
Report irregularities and defects in equipment and machinery to chef
Ensure that the stations are clean and that all food items are properly covered and stored at the end of shift
Ensure that kitchen stations and functions are properly broken down and those reusable items are returned to the main kitchen and put on cafeteria shelf
Requirements:
Cooking experience preferred but not required
Food knowledge preferred
Basic knife skills
Basic Food Safety certification required within 30 days of starting position required
Passion for food required
