Job Description:

Prepare ingredients, cook food, and maintain the kitchen area in accordance with quality and safety standards at The St. Regis Aspen Resort.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards
test foods to ensure proper cooking
ensure adherence to quality expectations
support team to reach common goals
listen to and respond to concerns of other employees
maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment
report unsafe work conditions to manager
perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Requirements:

Prepare ingredients for cooking
wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklist
prepare cold foods
operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
monitor food quality while preparing food
set up and break down work station
serve food in proper portions
wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
follow all company and safety policies
maintain a professional uniform and personal appearance
stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
