Job Description

Prepare ingredients and cook food according to recipes and quality standards at The Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Los Cabos. Deliver luxury hospitality service while maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring food quality and safety standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • Test foods to determine if cooked sufficiently
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food
  • Set-up and break down work station
  • Serve food in proper portions
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • Check temperature of appliances and food

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience required
  • No license or certification required
