Job Description:

The Cook II position at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne Miami involves preparing and cooking food according to recipes and standards, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and adhering to safety requirements. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and dedication.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare ingredients for cooking
wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards
operate kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, and fryers
monitor food quality and test foods
maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas
adhere to safety and security policies
work as part of a team to meet goals
complete assigned duties as requested by supervisors.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience
ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
ability to follow company and safety policies.
