Job Responsibility:

  • Apply various cooking methods to meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
  • season and cook according to recipes
  • Execute prep lists and checklists promptly, inspect food areas for sanitary practices, and ensure proper food temperatures
  • Use excellent memory skills to prepare multiple dishes simultaneously, and accurately distinguish flavors and food quality
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food
  • regulate cooking equipment temperatures and assist other cooks during busy periods
  • Perform all kitchen duties, including preparation, cooking, and cleaning, and follow recipes and procedures with minimal direction

Requirements:

  • Lift heavy items and stand/walk for most of the shift

  • Multi-task and maintain general knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
