Job Description

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Full-time Cook I to our Dietary Department at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a full time opportunity working various days, including weekends, with a shift time of approximately 9:00am to 6:30pm The ideal candidate will have prior experience in multiple areas within the kitchen and be proficient in a variety of cooking techniques and production methods.

Job Responsibility

  • Measuring, mixing, portioning and cooking according to provided recipes and production charts for Hospital at Home patients
  • Performing clean, safe, and sanitary work in accordance with department policies
  • Filling out all logs, production charts, cleaning schedules, etc assigned by management in accordance with department policies and procedures
  • Cooling, packing, and labelling food for Hospital at Home meal delivery service

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year Food Service Experience Preferred
  • Less than 1 year Cooking Experience Preferred
  • ServSafe certification is a plus

Nice to have

  • ServSafe certification is a plus
  • High School Diploma/GED
