Ready to take your culinary skills to the shores of Lake William? Aramark Canada is looking for skilled and passionate Cooks to join the team at Camp Kadimah from June - August!. In this role, you will be responsible for the proper and timely preparation of food service, ensuring our campers and staff enjoy high-quality meals all summer long.
Job Responsibility
Coordinate the handling, preparation, and timely service of all Kosher-style meals following methods approved by the Chef
Prepare a wide variety of dishes including poultry, pastas, and snacks, ensuring adequate quantities are ready for every meal
Maintain a culture of safety by following health and safety, food safety guidelines for food storage, preparation and service
Provide outstanding service to all guests, addressing specific dietary concerns as they arise with support from the Chef
Requirements
1-2 years of cooking experience (ex: line, or grill)
Valid WHMIS and Food Safe (Basic or Advanced) certifications are assets
Strong interpersonal and English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both supervised and unsupervised
Ability to stand for long periods, walk short and long distances, bend, twist, and push, pull, and lift an average of 12kg
A genuine desire to provide excellent service and collaborate with your colleagues to ensure smooth operations
The successful candidate will need to complete and pass a criminal background check and vulnerable sector search (VSS)
Nice to have
Experience in Kosher-style food preparation and service
Valid WHMIS and Food Safe (Basic or Advanced) certifications
