Delaware North Sportservice is hiring seasonal Cook 3 to join our team at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio. As a Cook 3, you will showcase your skills and be a visible leader in the kitchen. Partnering with management team members, you will plan menus, deliver food to quality standards, train kitchen team members, operate kitchen equipment, uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations, and monitor the quantities, labor, and overhead costs.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and cook food to portion, quality, safety, and temperature standards
properly store, package, rotate, and maintain freshness of all products
Maintain clean, sanitized, organized, and fully stocked workstations, equipment, coolers, and kitchen areas
handle trash removal and deep cleaning as required
Complete opening, closing, side work, inventory, and waste tracking duties in accordance with department procedures
Rotate across kitchen stations, assist with cooking in other areas, including occasional guest-facing cooking, and support non-kitchen duties as needed
Collaborate with chefs and culinary team to ensure consistent quality and smooth kitchen operations
May be required to perform other duties as needed to support the overall goals and objectives of the team and organization
Requirements:
At least 1 year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house food service position
Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements
No high school diploma or GED required
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs to and from freezers and ovens, reach up to seven feet, twist, bend, and squat
Standing and walking for the entire length of shift in moderate to high noise levels
Manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids and operate kitchen equipment
Exposed to variable temperatures
