Job Description:

This position will prepare food items per guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards; complete mis en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • complete mis en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service
  • maintain a safe, sanitary work environment
  • prepare food items to order on the line and starting items made ahead of time
  • responsible for operating, maintaining and properly cleaning kitchen equipment
  • date all food containers and rotate as per policies
  • check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up
  • note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages
  • return all food items not used to designated storage areas
  • assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems
  • control food waste, loss and usage per policies
  • work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors

Requirements:

  • 2+ years culinary or related work experience
  • intermediate culinary knowledge
  • cooking school or culinary institute education or equivalent experience
  • proficient knife skills
  • ability to multi-task
  • working knowledge of computers
  • must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours
  • exhibit excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • demonstrate strong organizational skills
  • possess the ability to work autonomously
  • fluency in English
  • current work authorization in the United States
