Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Conveyancer (Technical Specialist) to play a pivotal role within our residential conveyancing operation. This is a non–case carrying, non client-facing position, but it is far from behind the scenes. You’ll be hands-on, solution-driven, and trusted with responsibility for a portfolio of clients, supporting conveyancers through technically challenging matters and helping to keep files moving efficiently and safely.

Job Responsibility

  • Take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, supporting file progression and resolution
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex residential conveyancing matters
  • Apply specialist knowledge across: Building Safety Act (BSA), Shared ownership, Transfers of part, New build properties, Leaseholds, estate rent charges, solar panels, restrictions, and other complex titles
  • Make clear, commercially focused, and risk-aware decisions to keep transactions moving
  • Draft, review and approve high-level legal documentation autonomously
  • Work collaboratively with conveyancers, lenders, agents, developers and internal teams
  • Take a hands-on approach to finding practical solutions to challenging legal issues
  • Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Champion the use of technology, AI and automation to improve outcomes

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience handling a mixed residential conveyancing caseload
  • Highly skilled in Title Checking and replies to enquiries
  • Brings strong technical knowledge, including BSA, shared ownership, transfer of part and new build
  • Is results-focused, determined, and comfortable working independently
  • Enjoys problem-solving and tackling complex, non-standard issues
  • Can assess risk confidently and make sound commercial decisions
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Keeps up to date with legislation and best practice
  • Is passionate about innovation and improving the way conveyancing is delivered
