An organised and detail-oriented professional to support fee earners in managing property transactions, developing skills while contributing to a dynamic legal team.
Job Responsibility:
Assist fee earners with conveyancing caseload
Engage with clients both in person and via telephone
Retrieve and organise files for correspondence
Respond to client correspondence and produce letters
Open new files and manage existing ones
Schedule appointments and prepare quotations
Send terms of engagement and fee estimates
Prepare seller's protocol documentation
Draft Transfer Deeds and Requisitions on Title
Manage financial aspects such as repaying charges
Prepare Stamp Duty forms and facilitate registration
Keep track of search expiry dates and conduct searches
Maintain organised filing systems and handle billing
Close files upon completion of transactions
Perform general office duties including photocopying
Provide cover for other support staff
Assist fee earner with tasks during absence
Occasionally cover reception duties
Requirements:
Previous experience in conveyancing or a related legal field
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in handling legal paperwork and documentation
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work well under pressure
A proactive approach to problem-solving and client service
