Job Description

A reputable and long-standing law firm based in the centre of Oldham is seeking to appoint an experienced Residential Conveyancing Assistant to join their Residential Conveyancing team on a full-time basis. This is a key support role, working one-on-one with a fee earner on a busy and varied caseload of residential sales, purchases, and remortgages. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded property team known for its efficiency, professionalism, and client care.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparing draft contracts and supporting title documentation for registered and unregistered land
  • Drafting transfers of whole, conducting searches, and handling Land Registry processes
  • Confident use of Lender and Client Portals
  • Answering client telephone queries promptly and professionally
  • Managing diaries and key dates effectively
  • Providing regular client updates via telephone and case management systems
  • Supporting the post-completion process when required

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience within residential conveyancing support
  • A professional and reliable approach, with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle client-facing responsibilities
  • Good working knowledge of legal case management systems and associated software
  • Strong organisational and diary management skills
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude, able to work under pressure as part of a high-performing team
