Job Responsibility:
Assign duties related to the physical conversion and setup of the facility in accordance with contract and event requirements
Perform general physical labor, including setting up and removing tables and chairs, carrying, lifting, and assembling furniture and fixtures, staging, painting the field, and installing basketball courts
Repair and maintain equipment, tools, and machinery as needed
Determine the most efficient and cost-effective methods for labor utilization to complete assigned tasks
Work during events and respond promptly to both scheduled and unexpected physical modifications or setup changes required for the event
Assist with pre-event preparation, on-site event support, and post-event breakdown and cleanup
Maintain organization of the warehouse and ensure accurate inventory counts for all equipment and supplies
Supervise and oversee the daily work of Conversion Specialists, ensuring all tasks are completed to a satisfactory standard
Oversee all facility conversions across all buildings
Perform other related duties as assigned
Create, manage, and distribute weekly and event-based staff schedules for assigned departments
Coordinate scheduling needs for special events, holidays, and high-demand periods
Maintain accurate records of employee availability, time-off requests, and attendance
Monitor and control overtime by proactively adjusting schedules and reallocating staff to meet operational needs within budgeted hours
Collaborate with department leaders to forecast staffing requirements and optimize labor utilization
Communicate schedule updates, changes, and confirmations clearly and promptly
Ensure compliance with labor laws, union agreements, and internal policies
Assist in onboarding new employees into scheduling systems and communicating scheduling procedures
Generate reports and recommendations for improving efficiency, coverage, and cost control
Serve as a liaison between staff and management regarding schedule-related questions or issues
Requirements:
Must successfully pass a criminal background check
Must be at least 18 years of age
Basic mechanical knowledge is required
Previous facility operations experience is preferred
Thorough knowledge of the physical layout of the Superdome
Familiarity with equipment inventory, including tables, chairs, staging, and related materials
Ability to interpret written instructions for event setups and execute accordingly
Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow both written and verbal directions from Event Coordinators
Physical ability to operate equipment and provide manual labor assistance as needed
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Three (3) to five (5) years of general labor experience required
Prior facility operations experience required
Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
