This ethical, sector leading firm is seeking a controls and instrumentation engineer with experience within the automated / manufacturing / power industry or similar environment work experience to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. Job Responsibility:
Fault-finding and diagnostics of the site equipment and the ability to single-handedly rectify errors
Working with the interface, CMMS systems, pressure transmitters, switches, various plc controls, DCS/SCADA and generally overseeing the site wide calibrations and the overall power generation controls
Work alongside other functions as necessary, assisting with supervision of contractors
Hold management of calibration records and implementation of instrument calibrations
Be fully conversant with instrument loop drawings and P&IDs
Work as part of a team striving for continual improvement in minimising environmental Health & Safety risk
Requirements:
5+ years experience working as an C&I technician working on an industrial site
Proven ability to manage your own time and carry out work independently
Have completed a full onsite apprenticeship and hold a ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent
Enthusiastic approachable and a can do attitude to work
Full UK driving licence
Understanding of Environmental and H&S issues and their impacts (training will be given)
Experience in working with Safe Systems of Work (PTW). Training will be given
