Job Responsibility
Enforces safe work practices as the highest priority
Responsible for controls engineering & electrical support
Provides technical support, direction, and training to support personnel/Skilled Trades within the organization
Investigates systems and equipment problems and provides technical input in problem resolution
Controls modifications and continuous improvement of production processes
Understanding press mechanical components
Familiar with VFDs, robotics, PLCs, HMIs and vision systems
Technical troubleshooting and direction for production departments

Maintenance and Project Planning Activities
Schedule: Production currently runs 6 days/week
Shifts: Rotating shift schedule (changes every 4 months)
Requirements
3+ years of experience in Controls Engineer in a manufacturing environment with mechanical experience
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering OR equivalent experience
Proven ability to program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and diagnose complex equipment issues
Experience supporting controls-related changes on the floor, for example new equipment installs, model launches, or major upgrades
Familiarity with VFDs, HMIs, and industrial electrical systems, including safety circuits and field devices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple issues in a fast-paced environment
Ability and willingness to work rotating / off shifts and support overtime as needed
Rotating shift schedule (changes every 4 months)
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including concise shift reports and effective collaboration with production, maintenance, and leadership

Experience in automotive assembly or other high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environments
