As a Controls Engineer II, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry. Job Responsibility

  • Design, implement, and document controls systems for various types of automated equipment
  • Troubleshoot robot controllers, ladder logic, electrical control devices, mechanical units, transfer devices and peripheral equipment
  • Perform machine power up, debug and programming
  • Ensure equipment is designed and programmed to specifications using standard techniques and approach

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, OR an Associate's Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience with JR Automation or within the automation industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with one or more of the following: PLCs, HMIs, robotics, mechatronics, motion control systems, vision systems, and/or programming
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings
  • Willingness and ability to travel 35–50% to customer sites and other JR Automation locations
  • JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check

Nice to have

  • Prior experience with JR Automation or within the automation industry is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks is preferred
