We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations for a multi-location industrial products organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in accounting and financial management. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining compliance, preparing accurate financial reports, and driving efficient processes across the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements
Conduct audits of financial statements to ensure compliance and accuracy
Prepare and manage tax reporting, including sales tax obligations
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to support accurate financial records
Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making
Implement best practices to improve efficiency within accounting operations
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
Provide guidance and mentorship to the accounting team
Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management
Expertise in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
Proven ability to manage consolidated financial statements and audits
Strong knowledge of sales tax reporting and compliance
CPA certification is required
Solid understanding of general ledger management and reconciliation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
