The Controller will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations. This role requires a professional who can operate both strategically and tactically—someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves while also contributing to high-level financial planning and decision-making.
Job Responsibility:
Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
Develop, implement, and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures
Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic guidance
Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial planning processes
Oversee audit processes and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
Evaluate and optimize accounting systems and processes to support scalability
Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership roles
Prior experience in distribution, retail, manufacturing or a related industry
Proven success working in small to mid-sized businesses, with the ability to adapt to evolving structures and processes
Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial reporting
Hands-on mindset with the ability to dive into details while maintaining a strategic perspective
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Experience with ERP systems and process improvement initiatives
