We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead financial operations. This position is a hands on role handling all accounting activities, supporting executive decision-making with financial insight, and maintaining compliance with reporting and regulatory obligations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to manage deadlines across monthly, annual, and audit cycles.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the company's day-to-day accounting function, including invoicing, receivables, payables, general ledger activity, cost tracking, and inventory-related financial records
Produce accurate monthly financial reports and deliver them within established corporate reporting timelines
Lead the annual budgeting process, coordinating inputs and preparing financial plans that align with corporate expectations
Direct month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring financial records are complete, accurate, and ready for external review
Coordinate with independent auditors during the annual audit process and manage the timely completion of required deliverables
Work with external tax advisors to support the accurate and on-time filing of federal and state tax documents
Collaborate with the parent organization to maintain appropriate local insurance coverage and related documentation
Support additional financial and administrative priorities as needed to meet business objectives
Requirements:
Demonstrated success in a Controller or comparable senior accounting leadership position
At least five years of broad accounting and finance experience across core financial operations and reporting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Accounting credential such as CPA or CMA, or equivalent qualification preferred
Experience developing detailed budgets and monitoring results against financial plans
Strong knowledge of general ledger management, account reconciliation, and month-end and year-end close procedures
Background in financial statement preparation and balance sheet reconciliation
Experience with Sage 100 is preferred
