Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations and provide strong financial oversight for a growing organization. This position is suited for a hands-on accounting leader who can balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution while guiding a small team. The ideal candidate brings deep accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Direct the company’s accounting activities, ensuring financial records are accurate, timely, and aligned with applicable standards
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes while maintaining strong internal controls and reliable reporting practices
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, setting clear expectations and supporting focused development within the team
  • Partner with leadership to review financial performance, explain results, and help inform business decisions
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for audits and compliance needs
  • Improve accounting workflows and systems usage to increase efficiency, accuracy, and visibility across financial operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and maintain smooth day-to-day processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to apply sound financial principles in practice
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring direct reports in an accounting environment
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to work both strategically and in detailed operational tasks
  • Strong systems aptitude and comfort working within accounting and financial platforms
  • Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
