This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations while supporting strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and a keen attention to detail, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for resource optimization and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
Maintain and oversee the chart of accounts, ensuring proper bank reconciliations are completed regularly
Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor payments, cash applications, and monitoring aged invoices and credit limits
Review manufacturing costs, overhead expenses, and general administrative expenditures, offering insights for cost management and efficiency improvements
Ensure proper recording and analysis of revenues and expenses, maintaining compliance with accounting standards
Handle provincial and federal government reporting requirements and manage tax filings
Coordinate physical inventory counts and reconciliation efforts to ensure accuracy
Safeguard sensitive company and customer information with discretion and professionalism
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the organization's financial objectives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent experience
Proficiency in oral and written communication in English
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and resolve issues
Advanced technical accounting knowledge and expertise in Office 365 and Excel
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting

Familiarity with document control and scanning processes
