Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Controller to join our team in Jonesboro, Arkansas. This role involves overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. As a key leader in the finance department, you will manage staff, maintain internal controls, and contribute to the growth and efficiency of the organization.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise general accounting, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable operations
Ensure financial activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements
Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Manage and mentor accounting team members, fostering growth and development
Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for budgeting and strategic planning
Coordinate audits with external auditors and ensure all necessary documentation is prepared
Strengthen internal controls and enhance accounting procedures to improve efficiency
Oversee fixed asset accounting and track capital expenditures with precision
Collaborate with the finance department on tax filings, treasury activities, and compliance reporting
Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to resolve system-related issues and ensure proper data management

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Proven expertise in cost accounting and managing month-end close processes
Strong knowledge of document control, scanning, and compiling financial records
Familiarity with financial compliance requirements at local, state, and federal levels
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in managing financial accounts
Proficiency in analyzing financial data and preparing strategic reports
Ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment
Advanced skills in financial systems and tools
