Controller

• Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles to ensure accurate reporting, complete reconciliations, and well-supported journal entries
• Oversee the general ledger and prepare financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and organizational reporting standards
• Evaluate and account for complex transactions, including matters related to revenue treatment and fair value measurements
• Compare data across operational platforms and the general ledger to identify discrepancies and maintain financial integrity
• Prepare and submit reporting required by regulators and lending partners within established deadlines
• Manage the external audit process, coordinate supporting documentation, and address any issues raised during review
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while promoting accountability and high performance across the team
• Design, document, and maintain internal control procedures that support compliance and consistent execution
• Improve accounting workflows, enhance system usage, and introduce automation to increase efficiency and accuracy

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA designation is required
• At least 10 years of experience overseeing full-cycle accounting close processes and external audits
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting principles
• Prior experience within financial services or another regulated industry is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage accounting operations while also contributing directly to detailed execution
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work confidently with auditors and senior leadership
