We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead the Finance and Accounting functions at our organization in Irvine, California. In this role, you will oversee all financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage day-to-day accounting tasks while driving long-term financial planning and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage all financial activities, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with organizational goals
Prepare and present monthly financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to senior leadership
Oversee the financial close process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting operations
Drive the annual budgeting process and implement ongoing forecasting initiatives
Monitor company-wide and departmental performance against budgets, identifying and addressing variances
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audits
Collaborate with operations leadership to evaluate production costs, inventory levels, and profit margins
Mentor and manage the accounting team, fostering growth and skill development
Coordinate with external auditors and tax experts to maintain compliance and support financial reviews
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field
Strong expertise in document control, scanning, and compiling financial documents
Proven ability to lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance requirements
Experience managing and mentoring accounting teams to achieve operational excellence
Proficiency in financial modeling and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to senior leaders
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
