Controller

• Oversee financial reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in compliance with GAAP and internal standards
• Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate financial data
• Supervise day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, inventory accounting, and general accounting, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
• Manage inventory accounting tasks, including physical inventory checks and maintaining fixed asset ledgers
• Develop and maintain cost accounting processes within the manufacturing facility
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and monthly forecast updates for the plant
• Lead and support quality initiatives and Responsible Care programs to align with organizational goals
• Provide leadership and direction to accounting staff, fostering process improvements and team development
• Analyze financial and operational data to enhance company performance and support decision-making
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and internal controls

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cost accounting
• At least 2 years of experience at the Controller level, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise both staff and clerical employees
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial and operational data effectively
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated, innovative, and capable of making strategic decisions

CPA certification and/or advanced degrees are highly desirable
