This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail, extensive knowledge of construction accounting, and the ability to manage financial operations efficiently. The Controller will play a key role in overseeing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company's growth.
Job Responsibility:
Manage all aspects of construction accounting, including WIP tracking and job costing
Oversee document control processes, ensuring accurate compilation and organization of financial and project-related documents
Utilize Procore and QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records and reporting
Supervise and lead the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards
Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes
Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency
Collaborate with project managers to align financial strategies with construction project goals
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on construction industry practices
Proficiency in construction accounting software, including Procore and QuickBooks
Demonstrated expertise in WIP tracking and job costing
Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage an accounting team effectively
Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
