Controller

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close
• prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Manage consolidation and intercompany transactions
• Maintain chart of accounts and ensure accurate general ledger entries
• Design, document, and enforce internal controls across core cycles
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, state/federal regulations, and audit requirements
• Lead external audits and tax filings in partnership with advisors
• Oversee A/P, A/R, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management
• Optimize working capital: cash forecasting, collections, vendor terms, and treasury processes
• Manage sales/use tax, property tax, and other statutory filings
• Own the ERP/accounting system
• drive automation, data integrity, and scalable workflows
• Implement policies, SOPs, and KPIs to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Support budgeting, reforecasting, and variance analysis
• provide actionable insights to leadership
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, HR, and IT on pricing, margins, compensation, and systems
• Build and develop a high-performing accounting team

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA strongly preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 7–10+ years progressive accounting experience, including leadership of the close and reporting function
• mid-market or growth-company experience preferred
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel/Power BI
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and influence cross-functionally
