Controller

• Supervise and guide property accounting team members
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Manage cash activities including wire approvals and check signing
• Review and approve bank reconciliations
• Examine preliminary financial statements
• Assist with financial forecasts and distribution calculations
• Ensure timely property tax payments
• Support in setting up sales tax accounts
• Collaborate on audit inquiries
• Undertake additional duties and ad hoc projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience with focus on 3rd party real estate accounting
• At least 4 years of senior-level management experience including leading teams
• Proficiency in Yardi, Real Page, or similar property management software
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and governing agreements
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality

Proficiency in Yardi, Real Page, or similar property management software
