Job Description:

This role leads the Accounting/Finance team, and works with the Executive team with forecasting, budgeting and acts as a liaison with external auditors and bankers. Individual determines and implements accounting controls for accurate and consistent reporting that's aligned with NBA philosophy.

Job Responsibility:

Monitor the ME/YE process to ensure efficiency and that company standards are being met
Approves payroll
Monitors payroll for compliance with regulations
Identify, develop and provide internal and external reporting
Supervises the reconciliation and maintenance of the General Ledger
Ensure Audits are completed on time
Analyze KPI's
Keep PMs and Sr. Leadership aware of any significant AR issues
Monitor cash flow
Monitor and evaluate internal processes to ensure meeting audit standards
Lead by example and empower teammates
Meet with project managers monthly to review project performance and billing status
Proactively and professionally work with teammates and with other departments
Lead the Finance team, assisting the Managing Director with personnel matters
Trains newly hired staff and assists with the development of staff
Corporate benefit administration
Reviews and analyzes the P&L and Balance Sheet, reporting results to senior leadership
Assist with developing budgets and forecast
Assists with monitoring actual revenue and expenses against budget and/or forecast
Present financial status to company ownership on a quarterly basis
Lead by example, building and sustaining both internal and external relationships

Requirements:

10+ years of experience
CPA, CFM, or CMA preferred
Project accounting experience a plus
Associate’s or Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
Microsoft Office Products, ERP Software, Deltek Vantagepoint software capability
Advanced understanding of key performance indicators
Strong understanding of information flow within systems
Ability to translate storyline into recommended action items
Open to suggestions and new ideas
Desire for lifelong learning

Nice to have:

CPA, CFM, or CMA preferred
Project accounting experience a plus
