Job Description:

Controlling provides management with relevant financial information to support informed decision-making and drive company profitability. This is accomplished through business planning (FC, LRP, Budget), monthly business analysis and reporting, and the development and evaluation of business cases. Controlling also ensures optimal use of company resources through the budget control process.The Controller oversees brand-level Controlling activities, facilitates improvement and efficiency initiatives, enhances Controlling documentation and compliance, and serves as the primary contact for the Country Controller at Headquarters on Controlling-related matters, in collaboration with the Controlling Manager.

  • Provide management with relevant financial information to support informed decision-making and drive company profitability through business planning (FC, LRP, Budget), monthly business analysis and reporting, and the development and evaluation of business cases
  • Ensure optimal use of company resources through the budget control process

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Finance or Controlling
  • Experience in project management within the industry
  • University degree or higher
  • Strong interest in cars and the automotive industry
  • Language skills: Japanese (native level), English (business level)
  • German is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (intermediate or higher)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly motivated, open-minded, and a collaborative team player
  • Detail-oriented with strong numerical accuracy
  • Experienced in negotiations with HQ, agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Capable of facilitating management meetings
  • Skilled in cross-functional communication and coordination
  • Able to create strategies and operational processes for own area of responsibility
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • experience with EPM is an advantage
  • Curious, attentive to detail, proactive, and hands-on
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and environments
