Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Controller to join a growing law firm in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on a contract-to-hire position. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee financial operations, including trust accounting, taxation, budgeting, and cash flow management. In this role, you will contribute to the firm’s strategic growth by providing financial insights and improving operational efficiencies.

Job Responsibility:

Manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliations using QuickBooks Online
Oversee trust account transactions, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, and perform regular reconciliations
Prepare and file quarterly tax payments while identifying opportunities to implement strategic tax solutions
Develop and monitor budgets, track cash flow, and forecast future financial needs to maintain stability
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support organizational decision-making and growth initiatives
Identify opportunities for cost savings, operational improvements, and enhanced profitability
Utilize Dropbox for document management and ensure efficient financial operations through technology-driven solutions
Collaborate with the team to reduce reliance on outsourced services by improving internal financial processes
Issue checks and process high-volume transactions with precision and compliance
Offer strategic insights to improve business performance and support the firm’s growth trajectory

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with expertise in bookkeeping, taxation, and trust accounting
Proficient in using QuickBooks Online for financial management
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Strategic mindset with the ability to offer actionable financial insights
Experience in a detail-oriented services or law firm environment is highly desirable
Familiarity with document management tools like Dropbox
Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach, fostering collaboration and a positive workplace environment
