Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a deep understanding of cost accounting principles and the ability to manage month-end close processes while preparing accurate financial statements. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a proven track record of successfully handling financial reporting in manufacturing settings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and efficient completion
  • Manage cost accounting operations, including manufacturing variance analysis and reporting
  • Develop and maintain financial reports tailored to the needs of the organization
  • Collaborate with plant operations teams to monitor and optimize manufacturing costs
  • Identify discrepancies in data and resolve issues by asking targeted questions
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for advanced financial modeling and data analysis
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within manufacturing
  • Expertise in cost accounting, including manufacturing cost analysis and reporting
  • Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and related procedures
  • Experience working with manufacturing operations and understanding plant-based financial data
