We are looking for a skilled Controller to oversee financial and human resource operations for a manufacturing organization in Kent, WA. The Controller will provide leadership in financial reporting, accounting operations, payroll, and HR functions, while contributing to the overall success of the company.
Job Responsibility:
Manage day-to-day financial accounting operations, including supervision of one direct report
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and closing processes, including budgeting and forecasting
Prepare and review journal entries, reconcile bank accounts, and generate accurate financial statements
Process biweekly and bonus payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Oversee HR functions including recruitment, new-hire onboarding, terminations, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and maintaining confidential personnel records
Negotiate and manage company insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage and cost efficiency
Collaborate with external accounting firms for federal tax filings and review of prepared forms
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounting and human resources, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance
Proficiency in payroll systems and full-cycle payroll processing
Strong understanding of HR compliance, employee relations, and benefits administration
Expertise in month-end closings, budgeting, and financial analysis
Ability to manage tax filings and collaborate with external accounting firms effectively
Excellent organizational and leadership skills to oversee financial and HR operations
