We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and manage a small accounting team at a well-established healthcare organization in Silverdale, Washington. Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations
Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, audits, and related reporting activities
Monitor and streamline accounts payable processes to maintain efficiency and accuracy
Develop and manage annual budgets, addressing fiscal year complexities and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Supervise month-end and year-end closings to ensure compliance and accuracy
Collaborate with leadership to support strategic financial planning and decision-making
Maintain a consistent and short close period while upholding high standards of accuracy
Ensure adherence to healthcare industry regulations and accounting standards
Utilize Dynamics to manage general ledger and financial reporting
Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages attention to detail and supports long-term employee retention
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a Controller role
Strong knowledge of financial statements, audit processes, and general ledger management
Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal year complexities
Expertise in month-end and year-end closings with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics or similar financial systems
Ability to lead and develop a small team while fostering collaboration
Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred but not required
Commitment to maintaining a consistent work schedule with limited overtime
