Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and provide strategic guidance for a manufacturing company based in Rockwood, Tennessee. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis. You will play a key role in optimizing financial processes and ensuring accurate reporting to support organizational goals.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and monitor all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Analyze manufacturing costs and implement standard cost accounting practices to improve efficiency
Develop and maintain accurate budgets and forecasts to guide financial decision-making
Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost savings
Oversee auditing processes and ensure accurate financial reporting and documentation
Utilize Power BI and other tools to generate insightful financial reports
Manage the bill of materials (BOM) process to ensure proper cost allocation
Lead cycle count processes to maintain inventory accuracy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize budget processes and manufacturing cost accounting
Provide strategic recommendations based on financial data to support business objectives
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Expertise in cost accounting, including standard cost accounting and cost analysis
Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting
Strong knowledge of bill of materials (BOM) and inventory management processes
Familiarity with auditing procedures and regulatory compliance
Ability to manage and optimize budgeting and financial processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
