We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a well-established construction company based in Castle Rock, Colorado. Job Responsibility:
Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Manage job costing processes to ensure accurate tracking and allocation of project expenses
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Collaborate closely with project managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making
Maintain and organize financial documentation, including scanning and compiling records
Implement controls to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency
Supervise the preparation and review of financial statements
Lead the development and monitoring of internal policies and procedures
Coordinate audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role, preferably within the construction industry
Strong expertise in job costing and project-based accounting
Proficiency in managing document control, scanning, and compiling financial records
Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a hands-on, collaborative environment
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team
High level of attention to detail and organizational capabilities
